Dennis M. Shreve (Director/Treasurer)
Born in Buckhannon, West Virginia, December 12, 1958. Graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School, May 1977. Graduated cum laude from West Virginia Institute of Technology, Montgomery, West Virginia, July 1980, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, minor in Economics. Graduated from West Virginia University, December 1982, with a Master of Professional Accountancy, and May 1984, with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Summer Clerk for law firms Dailey & Miller and Ronald R. Brown, summer of 1984 and 1985, Kingwood, West Virginia. Full-time lecturer in Business Law at West Virginia University 1984-1985. Senior Tax Accountant for KPMG Main Hardman (later KPMG Peat Marwick), September 1985 to April 1988. Employed by McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner from April 1988 to present. Adjunct Lecturer at Fairmont State University since 1986, lecturing in Business Law, Criminal Law, Computer Application for Paralegals, Federal Tax Preparation, and Federal Income Tax Accounting, teaching 3-9 hours per semester.
Charter member and past president (twice) of Harrison County Rotary Club, District Governor of District 7530 of Rotary International in 1997-1998. Current District Secretary/Treasurer for District 7530 and Chair of Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Conference for District 7530. Member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church, Bridgeport, West Virginia, since 1985. Sunday School teacher, Certified Lay Speaker and instructor at Wesleyan District Lay Leadership Academy. Married Kenette L. Carlsen in May 1982 in Reedsville, West Virginia. Enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking, cooking and photography.
